Magma is the international short film festival that brings short cinema to Acireale and Catania. In 2026 it celebrates its 25th edition and, with its Magma Shorts section, from 2 to 7 November it offers public screenings of short films by directors from around the world, meetings with filmmakers and international juries.
Le Cupole di Aci is in Piazza San Domenico, in Acireale's historic centre, 200 metres (3 minutes on foot) from Piazza Duomo: a comfortable base for the festival evenings in town and, for the screenings in Catania, for getting around by train or car.
