Piazza Duomo, 200 metres from our apartment, once again becomes a major food and wine event with show cooking, masterclasses and tastings of Sicilian excellence.
I Colori del Gusto is the food and wine event that brings the best of Sicilian food and wine to Piazza Duomo, in Acireale's historic centre: show cooking by chefs and pizza makers, masterclasses on wine, oil, cheese and craft beer, and tasting stands among the baroque façades.
It is planned for October 2026, but the organisers have not yet published the exact dates. For reference, the 2025 edition ran from Thursday 23 to Sunday 26 October. Check the official website before booking.
Le Cupole di Aci is in Piazza San Domenico, 200 metres (3 minutes on foot) from Piazza Duomo: you walk to the event, with no car or parking needed, and stroll home after the last tasting.
